eBikes in Charlotte do NOT require a License or Insurance. eBikes do require the youngest rider be 16 years old. They are very safe and ride like normal bicycles with the addition of power assist. But they do require respect of the eBike and the where it is being ridden. Obeying any laws and respecting other Pedestrians, Riders, or even Scooter riders is very important.
