This was our fifth year attending the Durham Holiday Parade as partners with Bike Durham!

Our first year we were the only ones with eBikes, and now we see quite a few eBike riders, some are our customers.

Our goal with attending is to support Bike Durham with promoting bicycle use and awareness in Durham NC. We also seek opportunities to promote eBikes and eBike Central. Parades offer the ability to present lots of rider types, bicycle types and overall support within the city, to those attending the parade.

Kids and Adults watching the parade are always supportive of rider group. The bikes are always a hit! The impression for Bike Durham is very favorable. This year we featured a large cargo eBike to demonstrate their features by carrying a 6-foot Christmas tree.

The Best Part is wishing people a Happy Holidays or a Merry Christmas, or receiving that same from them! Seeing the kids’ excited faces is also a highlight.

This year we had two eBikes in the parade. The TERN Quickhaul with a pet carrier and our sign on the back. We also had the extra large Riese & Muller Packster 70 carrying the tree in the front cargo area. We also had customers riding Gazelles and Urban Arrow.

There was a wide range of bike types in the parade group, ranging from very standard to very interesting: tandem, cargo Bikes & eBikes, urban eBikes, road bikes, hybrid bikes and folding bikes.
