eBike Central was invited to the participate in the Annual Cranksgiving event in Raleigh NC last Sunday! We had four eBikes setup on display and available for test rides. These included TERN and Riese & Muller models. We provided information and answered questions about electric bicycles, and had a few Cargo eBike models on hand as part of our focus on this category.

We also had a City Council member test ride an eBike as part of her consideration to own one. We also had a City Urban Planning member test ride an eBike model she has been interested in for her ownership and use.

This is such a great event that brings together gathering food for those that are less fortunate, avid cyclists and Bicycle Advocacy.

Oaks & Spokes has a saying to make the City of Oaks the City of Spokes through:

• Fostering community for all people on bikes in Raleigh
• Increasing access to new experiences for everyone who rides or wishes to

The Annual Cranksgiving is a fun choose-your-own-adventure event all about riding a bike and giving back to our communities in need during the holiday season. This year’s beneficiary is Healing Transitions.

Oaks & Spokes provides a list of essential food items to purchase, offers some challenges for bonus points, and gives a map of nearby grocery stores. Whether you ride to just one store or visit them all, join as a team or go solo, we’re happy to see you on your bike doing some good!

We will be giving out points for weight, distance, and key items. So grab your cargo bike, panniers, back pack, and any and everything you can mount to your bike to carry a load.
