We spend a lot of time in the Charlotte NC area and look forward to much more in the future.
Our staff has friends, family and customers in Charlotte and we always enjoy being in the city.
This time we set out on an afternoon of riding around using mainly Greenways, Bike Lanes and paths to access the locations we were going to. We planned to stop for Lunch & Refreshments along the way.
One of our friends and customers lives in the Cotswald area. So this is the path we followed for the day ride:
- Prepped at my friends home in the Cotswald area.
- We entered the Briar Creek Greenway at the Meadowbrook Road entrance.
- We transitioned to the streets, riding through neighborhoods.
- Our planned lunch stop was at JJ’s Red Hots, enjoying a Beer, Hot Dogs, fresh potato chips and fries. Time to start riding that lunch off.
- We made our way to Freedom Park. Nice to see so many people out enjoying the sunny day.
- From there, we jumped on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, passing The Metropolitan area.
- We then entered the Elizabeth Park area and began to make our way toward Uptown.
- Landing at the Epicentre to view the Black Lives Matter street mural in the center of Charlotte.
- From there we made our way to Romare Bearden Park for a great photo opp of the city skyline.
- We road down Tryon Street across I-277 to enter the Southend area including Wilmore, Brookhill and Dilworth.
- We stopped by the Railyard, Hoppin, Flower Child and the Common Market for break and refreshments.
- Continuing on through the Second Ward and Elizabeth.
- Jumping back on the Briar Creek Greenway to head home through Wendover and Sedgewood.
It is always amazing how much distance we cover on eBikes without feeling exhausted. It was sunny and hot in the 93+ degree day, but we never felt tired and the eBikes create their own breeze to keep us cool.
